2022 Charles Schwab Challenge Leaderboard: Live updates, full coverage, Sunday’s Round 4 golf results

Can Scotty Scheffler come home with his fifth (!) victory on the PGA Tour this season on Sunday? This is the question that the entire final round of the Charles Schwab Challenge revolves around. Schaeffler advanced by one stroke until Sunday, and the last time he was in a similar situation on Saturday evening, he went out and won the green jacket on Sunday afternoon.

The score jacket this time around – the tartan jacket – is a little less well known, but a win in the Dallas-Fort Worth area would be meaningful for Schaeffler, and getting five wins in a season is a lot more rare than you might think. . Since 1981, only six players have led the PGA Tour with at least five wins per season. Schaeffler could hit five on Sunday — then he’ll have to wait to see if anyone can catch him by the end of the year.

The chasers behind Scheffler aren’t all-time greats. That doesn’t mean he won – he still has to go out and play golf – but it does mean he’d be surprised if he didn’t. It’s amazing to try to come back and explain to yourself on January 31, when Schaeffler never won a PGA Tour. Now, you will be in a position where you will be Surprised If he doesn’t seal his fifth-place win, that’s where we are, and if Sunday was half the fun of his last three months, then we should be in for a great show.

Keep it closed here because CBS Sports will be following it all up with live updates and analysis throughout Round 4. You can watch the events of the final round live on CBS, CBSSports.com and the CBS Sports App 2-6:30 p.m. ET on Sundays.
