A man searching for a Frisbee in a Florida lake was killed Tuesday by an alligator, according to authorities and media reports.
Quoting a press release from the Largo Police Department, The Tampa Bay Times reported The 47-year-old is believed to have gone to Lake Taylor in John S.
According to the newspaper, police initially believed the man had drowned, but an alligator was spotted nearby, so the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission responded to the scene.
WTSP-TV reported That FWC confirmed that the man was bitten by a crocodile and later died.

A crocodile hunter was called, according to the newspaper, but as of noon, the crocodile had not been caught.

Garden site notes That visitors can “discover the disc golf course located in the natural beauty of this park.” The path is located along the lake along which there are no swimming signs, The Associated Press said.

Police have asked people to avoid the lake as the investigation continues, according to the Associated Press.
