Paul Pelosi, husband of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), was arrested Saturday night for drunk driving.

Napa County Show records Paul Pelosi, 82, was arrested at 11:44 p.m. Saturday and booked at about 4 a.m. Sunday on one count of driving under the influence and one count of driving with a blood alcohol level of 0.08 or higher.

Records show that both counts are misdemeanor charges, and bail is set at $5,000. was arrest First reported by TMZ.

The Napa County Police Department did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

A representative for Nancy Pelosi’s office said the spokesman was not in California at the time of the incident.

“The Speaker will not comment on this private matter that occurred while she was on the East Coast,” Pelosi’s spokesman Drew Hamill said in a statement.

On Sunday, Nancy Pelosi received an honorary degree from Brown University and delivered her graduation speech for the school’s 2022 graduating class.
