First of all, I cannot praise this woman enough. I don’t know what percentage of people in the world would have denied it or ignored it, but I think it could have been more than half. Having the self-confidence and personal responsibility just to have it right away and move on is admirable. This is clearly a woman of high moral character, and if I were a member of the jury, I would be more inclined to believe every word of her testimony.
Second, we have to all agree that this is objectively funny. I’m not one of those people who thinks every fart is funny, but a loud fart during an unexpected or dangerous moment is one of life’s joys. Nothing undermines stress more than fart noises; So, the combination of extreme tension plus a particularly obnoxious fart is a comedy of the highest order.
