Source: Jerry Jones Cowboy in a minor car accident

Cowboys in Dallas A source confirmed to ESPN that owner and general manager Jerry Jones was involved in a minor car accident Wednesday night in Dallas and was taken to a local hospital for precautionary measures.

Cowboys Executive Vice President Stephen Jones said in a text message to ESPN that his dad is back home and “everything is fine.”

The WFAA, citing several Dallas police sources, reported that Jones was in a crash shortly before 8:10 p.m. near Wolfe and Harry Haynes Boulevard. Emergency crews were called to the scene, and Jones reportedly sustained minor injuries.

It is not clear if Jones, 79, was driving.

A Dallas police spokesman said the department did not name the people involved in incidents unless there was a death.
