A teenager died after being shot in the chest at Chicago’s Millennium Park on Saturday night.
According to Chicago fire officials, the 16-year-old was shot during a rally inside the park.
Chicago police said he was taken to an area hospital in critical condition, but later died of his injuries.
There are no further details of the shooting, but police say two important people are in custody at this time. Two weapons were also found at the site.
Large gatherings of teens are still going on in the Loop Saturday night, as many CTA bus lines have to change service due to crowds.
According to the agency, Jackson Park Express and J14 Jeffery Jump buses are being rerouted through the Loop, as are buses on Routes 3, 4, 146 and 147. Sheridan Route 151 buses are also being rerouted due to blockages in Michigan and Washington streets near Millennium Park.
