“Do you ever regret doing this?” ABC7’s Stephanie Sierra asked.

“No…it was fun,” Deschamps said. “I would do it again.”

The college student scaled the 1,070-foot building while periodically stopping to use his phone to post videos on social media. He told ABC7 he plans to climb for a month using Google Maps to assess the building.

DesChamps arrived at SFO early Tuesday morning from Las Vegas where he is currently enrolled as a freshman at the University of Nevada Las Vegas. Once inside, he said he took an Uber straight to Salesforce and started climbing around 9am

“Were you afraid?” Sierra request.

“No… I cut off my feet which means taking your feet off the wall and I hung one of my hands to show a bit of knowledge?” Deschamps said before laughing. “I wanted to post some videos so they would come out when I was in prison.”

The anti-abortion activist says he made the climb in hopes of raising $1 million to support anti-abortion charities and “save lives.” It is unclear how much money was raised.

“These doctors are literally killing these kids at the table and leaving them to die,” de Champs said. “We’re not trying to yell at women who want an abortion, we don’t want to blame them… we just want to tell them there are other options.”

Deschamps told ABC7 that the only thing that went wrong was that he felt thirsty and tired at the end of the climb.

According to his website, Des Champ’s other goal is to put Washington, DC’s obstetrician-gynecologist, Dr. Cesar Santangelo, in prison for performing abortions.

He said, “I have no regrets.” “We are sending a message.”

Last year, DesChamps climbed the Aria Hotel in Las Vegas to protest Corona virus disease restrictions. He was also arrested then, but he says the charges were dropped.

The CPC arrested De Champ on two counts – one for trespassing and the other for resisting a police investigation, for not following police orders to go down or stop climbing.. He was cited and released on Tuesday afternoon.

According to Salesforce’s website:

  • The Salesforce Tower is 1,070 feet tall with 61 floors and 1.4 million square feet of office space.
