“The habitats we created are thriving”: The couple spend their financial savings turning the land right into a high-grade ecological nature reserve

“If nature is given an opportunity, it could actually and can get better.” That is the guiding mantra for a Dublin couple who’ve spent their financial savings over the previous 5 years changing 17.5 acres of farmland in Koh Wyclo into Wildacres Nature Reserve.

Ryan O’Toole, 56, and Gilly Taylor, 54, co-founded Wildacres to share their love of nature and conservation, believing that “collectively we will all assist flip the local weather and biodiversity disaster into a chance to make the world a greater place for wildlife and other people.”
